Night and Maus Blog assignment

Night and Maus are very similair but different they both tell the story about the Holocaust but they do it in their own ways and they are not on the same level of seriousness Night is actual people being portrayed and its very graphic and can put images into your head, but Maus is a comic about the Holocaust and even though it is a comic it is still very serious and sad. I do not think it is necesary to read both books i think you only need to read one or the other depending on the maturity of the class or the type of class. I would read night if you are looking for information and maus if you wanted a quick read.Example from each book When they are first starting to be controlled by the nazi's in maus they get moved into the stara salvenick quarter and they dont have much emotion about it and when they recieve their jewish star eli's father says "a yellow star? o well what of it it wont kill us". Night you could read their reactions and tell when they were scared and when they werent scared, but in maus there was either extreme, very plain or yelling at eachother.
